University: Limerick Institute of Technology, 2nd year of my degree course.

How did you get in to triathlon: Mark Dempsey (my current coach) nagged me for weeks when I was a swimmer about how boring swimming was and to see how much better tri was, My parents and uncle Niall were also involved in triathlon with Niall having a few good Ironman's under his belt It was always in the back of my mind, so I said I'd give it a go!

Bike and spec: A Look 576 TT, Full Carbon, Full SRAM Components and Zipp 404 wheelset!

Runners: Asic's gel Keyano's and Saucony Type A3 racing flats

Hobbies: training, resting and eating :-) haven't much time for anything else

Triathlon career highlights to date: well my two biggest highlights to date are winning my age group in the European Champs & 3rd place in the World Champs!!

What would you do if you weren't a triathlete: to be honest I haven't a clue probably not a whole lot, even during my break (from training) after the worlds I found myself bored with nothing to do.

What's the best advice you've ever received: Iv gotten so much great advice from Mark and others it's too hard to pick!

Sporting hero: it's gotta be Lance Armstrong

Favourite Food: Lasagne From bella italia, or a "Mike Special" at Subway!!

Favourite Drink: pineapple-orange Mi-Wadi :-)

Favourite Book: I dont really read books, their too time consuming, I'd prefer to go for a run!

Favourite Movie: Rocky, 1-6


Words of wisdom: I don't think I'm in the sport long enough to have any words of wisdom, one thing iv really learned is that things are alot easier when your loving & enjoying what your doing!!
